Why is the plugin file size on Mac larger than usual?
You might notice that our Mac plugin installers are twice as big as the Windows installers. Why is that?
The file size is 2x what it needs to be for a single plugin on Mac, because we support Intel and ARM processors natively. These are basically two separate plugins, packed into one binary file. So you're only ever using half of it, either the Intel or ARM version, and this will reflect accordingly on your ram usage. We decided this is the way to go, so each Mac user can just download the same installer and doesn't have to worry about getting the right version for their processor.
