Preventing DAW Freezes/Crashes with Multiple Plugin Windows

Symptom: Opening multiple windows of the plugin leads to the Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) freezing or crashing.

Cause: The issue, often resulting from a complex interplay of factors, typically occurs when OpenGL is enabled on certain host and platform combinations, where our plugins do not support OpenGL, such as Ableton, Bitwig, and others.

Troubleshooting Steps

Disable OpenGL in Installer:

• Revisit the plugin installer and choose to disable the OpenGL feature.
• This adjustment is essential for compatibility with DAWs that do not support OpenGL.

Reopen Your DAW:

• After disabling OpenGL and completing the reinstallation, reopen your DAW and test if the issue with multiple plugin windows has been resolved.
