How to Fix Black Window Issue in OpenGL-Enabled Plugins

Symptom: The plugin is displayed as a black window.

Cause: This issue occurs when OpenGL is enabled but not functioning correctly.

Troubleshooting Steps

Update GPU Driver:

  • Ensure your graphics card driver is up to date. Outdated drivers can lead to compatibility issues with OpenGL.
  • Visit your GPU manufacturer's website to download the latest driver.

Restart Your System:

  • After updating the driver, restart your computer. This ensures that any changes made are properly applied.

Check Display Scaling:

  • Adjust your display scaling to 100%. Sometimes, scaling settings can interfere with how the plugin renders on your screen.
  • You can find this setting in the display options of your computer's system settings.

Disable OpenGL:

  • If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you will need to disable OpenGL.
  • Please note that disabling OpenGL might result in less optimal UI performance, but it will resolve the black window issue.
