Slap Feature Update - All you need to know

We've updated Slap with a new feature that many of you have requested. In this article, we will have a deeper look into the ideas behind it.

The Tight mode in Slap is designed to reduce the sustain in your drum or synth loops. Turning up the knob tightens the sound exactly as you'd expect.

However, while the old mode allows for very tight results, we've received feedback from several users that it activates too early. Many of you have expressed a desire for an alternative approach that offers more flexibility.

Introducing the new Slap Tight Mode.

Now, the Tight module features two modes: A and B.

Mode A is the classic setting and remains the default option. This means introducing this new mode will not disrupt any of your existing sessions.

Mode B is the newly developed mode. It's engineered to produce a sound that feels more natural in terms of tightness and integrates more seamlessly with automation processes.

We developed this new mode in close collaboration with Mr. Bill, and we are thrilled to include it in Slap as a free feature update. This new functionality is now available to all of you, enhancing your music production capabilities.

We're excited for you to try out both modes and find which one best suits your creative needs. Whether you’re working on tight rhythmic sections or broad atmospheric layers, the new Tight Mode provides you with additional control to refine your sound.

Happy music producing! We can’t wait to hear what you create with the updated Tight Mode.
